Role Description
Dakota Group is seeking a highly organized, sharp, and dependable Promo opportunity to Sr. Manager > Director of Ops, etc. This is a high-exposure role for an operator who wants to be trained directly by the COO to grow into a senior operations role over time while providing day-to-day support across the business.
We are looking for a multi-talented operator who is confident with Google Docs, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, pitch decks, project management, calendaring, file organization, and cross-functional coordination. Confidence, follow-through, critical thinking, strong communication, and willingness to learn new tools are all essential.
Experience in a rigorous, technical industry such as banking, consulting, or public accounting is preferred but not required.
This role will support the COO and executive team across a wide range of functions and departments. Dakota Group’s engineering, design, and IT teams roll up through the SCRUM Master and ultimately to the COO, along with our Product Consultant and CTO. Finance and data, marketing, client success, and sales also roll up to the COO. This Associate will play an important role in helping organize priorities, improve follow-through, and support execution across all of these teams.
This job is for someone who wants to learn how to operate at a high level, support leadership across functions, and develop into a true business operator. You will train directly with the COO to learn company requirements and standards, and you will also work with department directors on projects and workflows that ultimately roll up to the COO / CFO.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the CFO / COO with day-to-day organization, execution, and follow-through across company priorities
- Help organize meetings, agendas, calendars, and follow-ups across multiple departments
- Take detailed meeting notes and help ensure action items are tracked and completed
- Build, edit, and organize decks and materials for partners, clients, investors, and banks
- Assist with project management and calendaring, working backward from goals set by leadership
- Help prioritize items across departments in partnership with the COO
- Support hiring processes, candidate coordination, intern coordination, and general administrative follow-through
- Help coordinate work across HR, legal, consultants, tax, accounting, and internal teams
- Prepare, manage, and maintain spreadsheets, trackers, documents, and file systems
- Flag issues early, communicate clearly, and make progress with the resources available
- Support projects across finance, engineering, operations, data, marketing, sales, and client success

Compensation
- Base salary: $90,000 to $150,000, based on experience
- 20% annual bonus target
